Warehouse Operator

The Warehouse Operator is a key member of the warehouse team and is responsible for the safe and efficient handling, storage, and distribution of products & materials in accordance with GMP, GDP, safety regulations, and standard operation procedures (SOPs). This role plays a key part in maintaining product integrity, ensuring timely order fulfilment, and supporting compliance in a highly regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all warehouse activities comply with GMP, GDP and company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Execute daily warehouse operations; receiving, storage, picking and shipping of materials and finished goods.
  • Perform material handling using appropriate equipment and ensure contemporaneous documentation within ERP/WMS.
  • Store products in designated areas under appropriate conditions (e.g., temperature, humidity).
  • Conduct in-process inventory counts, cycle counts and notify of any discrepancies.
  • Report any defects/faults with storage systems, MHE or FLTs.
  • Support audits, inspections and QA activities as needed.
  • Support Hygiene Team to maintain a clean & safe environment.
  • Working towards department KPIs & metrics.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Understanding of GMP, GDP and Warehouse ‘Best Practices’.
  • Good organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
  • Ability to work well as part of a team.
  • Good numeracy & IT skills.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Proficient in working to short lead times.

The Warehouse Operator has strong working relationships with all internal departments.

Success Criteria:
Correct utilisation of storage capacity along with OTD for all Goods In & Out and OTIF for all Production activities.
